Robert Jordan says Red Eagle Entertainment is almost history

I had a subscription to the New Spring comic books that were being done by the very talented Dabel Brothers and published by Red Eagle Entertainment. I was very upset when they announced that they were ceasing production. Red Eagle claimed it was because the Dabel Brothers weren’t meeting their deadlines. The Dabel Brothers claimed that it was because they couldn’t get the feedback they needed from Robert Jordan, who at the time had not announced his battle with amyloidosis.

Now, in Robert Jordan’s latest blog entry on Dragonmount, he announced that any contracts that Red Eagle has with him will be ending in a few months. Why is this good news? This is excellent news because Red Eagle had contracted the rights to make The Eye of the World into a movie. There was little hope of that ever happening, in light of their shenanigans with the comic books. But with the contract ending? It could be very promising. I’ll just point to the WoT Fan Cast for any of Robert Jordan’s people to check out if they start sniffing around to cast a movie or TV mini series with unknowns as actors, or models for animators.

Better news? Robert Jordan’s Lamba Light Chain numbers are still within the normal range. That is excellent news for him on the health front! Too bad his foot is troubling him. May the Yellow Ajah continue to work on him and speed him to better health still!
